Maximizing Know-How & Expertise Locator Systems

Expertise locator systems have been around for many years often known as company yellow pages. In today's age of “I need an answer now”, expertise locator systems are sophisticated, integrated with knowledge repositories, with chat spaces, with HR systems and are designed to get people answers quickly.  Hasanali shares best practices from a recent APQC study with examples from Rockwell, Intel, Honeywell, Air Products and Chemicals, and Northrup Grumman. Éthier discusses Cossette’s KM strategy for leveraging its knowledge, best practices, expertise and know-how, to maximize the Group's performance and to make it an employer of choice in its industry. He focuses on the organization’s central knowledge base of structured and useful information, including XML technologies used for content organization.
